What a busy weekend

we had, but it was great.

We went to Sheffield Saturday morning and it only took about 2 hours of an easy drive to get there. The toll road took a good chunk of the journey away.We parked in Nunnery park & ride and took the quick tram journey into the town. I have never been to Sheffield before and it was really nice - not a grimey industrial town I had visions of. Liam liked it so much - that I have ordered a prospectus from Hallam University as he would like to go there for a computing degree. Eleanor came up on the train from Liverpol and we met Jess at Ponds Forge pool - we watched her swim and she did so well - she is a fantastic swimmer. She achieved good times so she was pleased. One boy on her team achieved such a good time that he can enter the Olympic trials!
Jess has the orange hat on.

On Sunday we went to Oxford and tried to park in their park & ride but gave up as the last bus ran at 19.00hrs and Liam's concert did not finish until 23.00hrs- so we paid £8 to park in St Clements. We mooched around the shops and I managed to buy a Creating Keepsakes and a craft mag from the same stable from Borders. Thats the first time I have ever found one in there. I also bought a Making Memories scrapbooking book - all abou design and how to improve layouts and after my last few disaters - a book I sorely need! To pass the time and get out of the cold - it was bitter and it did not get above freezing all day, we went to the cinema and watched Juno - about a teenage pregnancy. It was a nice film - entertaing and very well acted. Then, as we stll had hours to wait for the boys we went for a meal in Nandos up Cowley road. The boys came out at 11.15 and we got home about 1.30 - shattered. I did try and read some of my Creating keepsakes mag - but managed about 2 pages before I crashed out!

After my weekend away and eating out at fast food places - Nando's, Subway, Fried potaoe wedges and Mayo in Sheffield and other snacks - I had not lost any weight on Monday night - I had stayed the same. I was dissapointed but knew why - I must try and get back on the straight and narrow but my choclate craving is really stong at the moment and I am struggling to control it.
