21st June photo - bathroom jar

I had to look around the house (again) for something to take a photo of today and decided on this jar that lives on the bathroom windowsill that the boys keep their razors in.

The light from the window reflects nicely in the glass balls. I really can't remember where or when we got it - it seems to have been there for ages!

Edited *** Eleanor rang me last night to say that she bought me the jar as a present - opps! Sorry Eleanor.

Promise I will find something more interesting to photograph tomorrow!

20th June photo - being green

I was struggling for photo inspiration again today and as I sat at the table pondering, caught sight of this shopping bag out of the corner of my eye.

A bit dull I know - but this is the year when we ditiched the plastic shopping bags and went back to reusable shopping bags - so thats a good enough reason to chose this as photo of the day.

19th June photo - Yankee candle

I am struggling to find a subject today - I think I am a bit photoed out, having taken so many this last week. So I looked around the house and soon spotted my favourite candle - Yankee Candles.

I just adore them and usually have one lit during the day. The smell they give off is divine and they last for ages.

This is a new one we bought in Aberystwyth last time we visited. Setevn & I spent hours in the shop, taking the lids off them all and smelling each one - before deciding on Fresh Cut Roses and it really does smell of roses.

18th June photo - my new CD

After all the dashing about I have done over the past week - today is a catching up in the house and generally chilling day.

and when I do all this chilling - I will be listening to my new CD.

I heard it last week on Classic FM and was immediately struck by its beauty. It is by a composer I had never heard of before - Richard Harvey and is A Concerto Antico for guitar and small orchestra. The guitar is played magnificantly by John Williams and the orchestra is the London Symphony. I ordered it straight away from Amazon and I love it as it is so relaxing - just what I need today. The frenzied guitar is beautifully balanced by the smooth orchestra - blending together to make the most divine sounds.

I love this close up photo of John Williams with his guitar - this is the type of shot I should be aiming for!

17th June photo - Norfolk Broads

I am ashamed to say that despite Jessica being in Norwich for 3 years, we have never visited the Norfolk Broads! As today was my last day visiting the area - I just had to go and visit. I went to Salhouse Broad and thought it was lovely.

I saw some river boat trips and really wanted to go on one, but I had stupidly left my purse back at Jessica's house so just had to watch from the shore! (and go hungry all day as I could not buy any lunch!)

There was lots of wildlife about ( I think one of these two will be my photo of the day).

I think my blog has turned into village signpost blog!

I visited Surlingham to do a walk there and watched this amazing sight on the river bank - a huge horned bull spatting against 2 swans protecting their young flock.

The swans were hissing at the bull and the bull was mooing at the swans. But in the end the swans won and the bull backed off in a huff!!

I was very sad to come back home to Shropshire, as I love Norfolk with its beautiful villages and peaceful way of life. This was my last visit - except for her Graduation ceremony in July which will just be a quick visit, with no time to explore - though I wonder if I can remember to take my purse and manage to sneak in a boat trip on the Broads?

16th June photo - Norfolk cornfield

This is a photo that I thought I would not be posting until later in the year - but today on my geocaching travels around the Dereham countryside, I came across this field whose corn is almost golden! It looked beautiful and as I was too busy geocaching (22 finds!) to take anymore photos - it will do for my photo of the day

Because I am getting quite good at doing close up shots now - thought I would post this other photo - so you could see the bigger picture!

15th June photo - Dereham windmill

I can't believe I only took one photo today!

Well I can actually, as it was raining cats & dogs for most of the day and I was stuck out in a thunder & lightening storm in the afternoon!

Well at least I don't have to worry about which photo to choose as photo of the day - sorry about the poor quality of this one.
