17th June photo - Norfolk Broads

I am ashamed to say that despite Jessica being in Norwich for 3 years, we have never visited the Norfolk Broads! As today was my last day visiting the area - I just had to go and visit. I went to Salhouse Broad and thought it was lovely.

I saw some river boat trips and really wanted to go on one, but I had stupidly left my purse back at Jessica's house so just had to watch from the shore! (and go hungry all day as I could not buy any lunch!)

There was lots of wildlife about ( I think one of these two will be my photo of the day).

I think my blog has turned into village signpost blog!

I visited Surlingham to do a walk there and watched this amazing sight on the river bank - a huge horned bull spatting against 2 swans protecting their young flock.

The swans were hissing at the bull and the bull was mooing at the swans. But in the end the swans won and the bull backed off in a huff!!

I was very sad to come back home to Shropshire, as I love Norfolk with its beautiful villages and peaceful way of life. This was my last visit - except for her Graduation ceremony in July which will just be a quick visit, with no time to explore - though I wonder if I can remember to take my purse and manage to sneak in a boat trip on the Broads?
