poor old laptop!

It has well & truly died on me and I am not sure why. Before it gave out completely I managed to do a virus check with AVG and it was clean. When I asked in the computer shop they said it sounded like a mother board problem and that it would be cheaper to buy a new laptop!

Anyway after a few frustrating days I have managed to locate the place where I got it from - home computing initiative and it is still in warranty and they have come and collected it this morning!! I have felt bereft without it these last few days - hence only a few blog entries. The last entry was done on the main computer and the images uploaded from Picasa but they have now disappeared for some strange reason! so there won't be any more pics until my laptop returns.

I am so grateful that I backed up all my photos last week - perhaps it was the exertions of doing that that killed it! I am likely to loose all my documents etc as I did not back those up - oh actually I did a few months ago on my new external hard drive (500GB) so I may be able to retrieve something. Must order a new pen drive from Amazon and keep back ups on there as well.
