Todays photo is in the 'what am I reading' category and is The Painted Veil by W. Somerset Maughan. I am halfway through it at the moment and it seems ok. It is set in the 1930's and tells of the consequences of a young wife who had an affair with a man much more interesting and loving than her husband - I wonder what the outcome will be for Kitty - at the moment she is in a Cholera infested town in a remote part of China - where her husband is perhaps hoping that she will catch cholera and die, as he has not forgiven her for her sins.I bought Eleanor the DVD of the book for Christmas so I may ask to borrow it when I have finished reading this.
